Top 12 2010: 4º - Thirty Seconds To Mars - Kings and Queens

O quarto posto da parada Top 12 ficou com essa banda, que lançou em 2009 seu terceiro álbum intitulado This Is War. Kings and Queens foi lançado como single ainda em 2009, porém assim como outras músicas, também teve seu maior sucesso no ano de 2010, depois de lançado o clipe.

A banda teve entre o segundo e o terceiro álbum um embrulho judicial com a antiga gravadora Virgin Records, chegando a um acordo e mudando para a EMI. Em função disso, ficou algum tempo sem lançar sons, visto que o álbum “A Beautiful Lie” fora lançado em 2005, emplacando hit’s até meados de 2007.

O clipe de Kings and Queens (ou Reis e Rainhas) também buscou inovação, começando com um grito de um falcão e a banda aparecendo com ciclistas. O som busca fazer uma metáfora sobre os acontecimentos cotidianos.
