Top 12 2010: 2º - Muse - Resistance

O segundo lugar ficou com uma música que nem chegou a se firmar na parada brasileira, mas que detonou na parada mundial e caiu no gosto do autor. Como parte do quinto álbum desta banda britânica, “Resistance” foi o terceiro single lançado, após sucessos como “Undisclosed Desires” e “Uprinsg”, este que figurou na parada da Billboard 2009.

A banda não tinha tanta notoriedade no cenário nacional, emplacando apenas um single de maiores repercussões chamado “Time Is Running Out”, do álbum Absolution, de 2003. Porém foi com The Resistance que ela conseguiu uma maior abrangência, sendo respaldada pela participação no terceiro filme da saga Twilight, chamado Eclipse, com o hit “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)”.

Assim como grande parte das bandas britânicas, Muse usa um som mais melódico, com “Resistance” instigando os receios de um amor platônico. O clipe foi montado a partir de imagens dos shows da tour do álbum The Resistance.
